Two JDF Soldiers Arrested. 1500 LBS Of Ganja Seized

October 14, 2020 – According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force, (JCF) two Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) soldiers were arrested in connection with the seizure of approximately 1500 pounds of ganja in Gutters, St. Elizabeth on Tuesday, October 13.

File Photo Reports are that about 9:30 p.m., a police team comprising of members of the Narcotics Division and the Westmoreland Division, assisted by members of the JDF, attempted to intercept a minivan in the area. The occupants of the vehicle reportedly fired upon the team and discarded packages as they attempted to flee.

Ganja Bust in Gutters, St Elizabeth The vehicle was eventually intercepted and two men—who were later confirmed to be members of the Jamaica Defence Force—were arrested. The ganja and the vehicle the men were travelling in were seized. The vehicle is the property of the Jamaica Defence Force. The investigation continues.
