The Jamaica Constabulary Force have reported a credible security threat to the Prime Minister and his household
The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said it has taken note of reports currently circulating on social media, which allege that a police raid is taking place at the private residence of Prime Minister, The Most Honourable Dr. Andrew Holness.
“We unequivocally state that these reports are false,” they said.
However, there is a notable police presence in the surrounding community and vicinity of the Prime Minister’s residence. This deployment was initiated based on credible intelligence gathered by the JCF, which indicated a legitimate security threat to the Prime Minister and his household.
According to the JCF, prompt and effective actions undertaken by their officers successfully mitigated this threat, and they continue to maintain a presence at the location in accordance with standard security protocols.
The JCF says they remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens, particularly in moments where intelligence suggests heightened risks. We urge members of the public to refrain from sharing unverified information, and to stay informed through official JCF channels, they said.
