Shenseea collab with Megan Thee Stallion

Jamaican dancehall artiste Shenseea is making the headlines again with her new collaboration with rapper Megan Thee Stallion. The single, which is entitled Lick, is expected to be released on Friday, January 21.

The collaboration comes months after she was featured on Kanye West’s Grammy-nominated album, Donda.

Shenseea won the 2021 Music Of Black Origin, MOBO, Award for Best Reggae Act, and in so doing, became the first female artiste to win the Reggae Award since its inception in 1996.

Shenseea spoke to the Jamaica Observer shortly after the MOBOs made the announcement on their social media platforms.

“It feels great to have won because it’s my first. I’ve always wanted to win one and the time I least expected to get it was the time I won. I just wanna express my gratitude to my ‘Shenyengs’ who voted, and big up the MOBO Awards,” said Shenseea.

Her latest single “Dolly” hit almost 3 million views shortly after it was released on Youtube while she boasted to be the first female dancehall artiste to hit over 2 millions subscribers on the platform.
