A murder-for-hire plot was thwarted by members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) during a high-stakes operation on Jacks Hill Road in St. Andrew on Monday, July 21, 2025. The deadly confrontation left five men dead and led to the seizure of four firearms, including high-powered weapons.

According to police reports, around 12:40 p.m., a team of officers was conducting a targeted investigation into an alleged contract killing. Intelligence had led the lawmen to premises in the upscale Jacks Hill area. Upon their arrival, the police came under heavy gunfire. The team returned fire in defense of their lives.

The property in Jack’s Hill, St Andrew, where lawmen reportedly seized four illegal firearms and killed five men in a police confrontation on Monday.

When the gunfire ceased, five men were found suffering from gunshot wounds. They were transported to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead. The identities of the deceased men have not yet been confirmed.

Recovered from the scene were four firearms: one M16 assault rifle, a shotgun, a Glock pistol, and a Taurus pistol. No injuries were reported among the police personnel involved in the operation.

The JCF has since launched a manhunt for a sixth suspect who escaped during the encounter. In connection with the ongoing investigations, Courtney Ashley, otherwise known as ‘Bloodstain’, is being urged to report immediately to the Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigations Branch (C-TOC).
