Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his family flee the Canadian capital as ‘Freedom Convoy’ rolls in.

According to the Daily Mail, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his family have left their home in the national’s capital Ottawa for a secret location as up to 50,000 truckers gather to protest against the country’s vaccine mandate and Covid lockdowns. 

Hundreds of truckers drove their giant rigs into the Canadian capital Ottawa on Saturday as part of the ‘Freedom Convoy’ which started as a protest against vaccine mandates in Canada.

The convoy were initially labelled as a ‘small fringe minority’ before hundreds of vehicles grew up to 45 miles long as it made its way to the capital. 

The Rebel News who have been at the forefront on the news on vaccine mandates, reported that following the federal government’s announcement of a cross-border vaccine mandate, a coalition of Canadian truckers are en route from B.C. to Ottawa to protest COVID restrictions in the nation’s capital. Despite freezing weather (-23) a “small minority” of #TruckersForFreedom2022 and tens of thousands of supporters across Canada have come to show their opposition to Trudeau’s “immoral” infringements on their freedoms. The atmosphere of unity keeps them warm. “More are on their way.”

Since this reporting, the trucker convoy has grown exponentially.

Canadians have been marching and protesting constantly for months against the vaccine mandates and vaccine passport. Canada have some of the most regimented laws and mandates in regards to vaccine and vaccine passport. Nevertheless, the truckers joined the protest only last week in western Canada, where dozens of truckers organized a convoy to drive from Vancouver to Ottawa to demonstrate against Covid-related restrictions, particularly a vaccination requirement for truck drivers.

To date, 82 percent of Canadians aged five or older have been vaccinated against Covid-19. Among adults, the figure is 90 percent, the Daily Mail. Despite many Canadians fully vaccinated, they are angry with the constant lockdowns, restrictions and what some call a breach of human rights and freedom.

Up until now Prime Minister Justin Trudeau seemed to ignore the millions of Canadians protesting across Canada for months. But this proved too much for the Prime Minister. The Daily Mail stated that there was an enormous clamor as hundreds of big trucks, their engines rumbling, sounded their air horns non-stop. Estimates of the number of truckers range from 10-20,000.Closer to Parliament, families calmly marched on a bitterly cold day, while young people chanted and older people in the crowd banged pots and pans in protest under Trudeau’s office windows. 

The Canadian media said the prime minister and his family had been escorted out of their home and taken to a secret location in the capital, with much of the protesters’ wrath directed at Trudeau.
