Twenty-three-year-old Clevon Brown, otherwise known as ‘Basco’, a farmer from Campbell Hill, Gutters, St. James, has been formally charged with Wounding with Intent, Using a Firearm to Commit a Felony, and Discharging a Firearm in any Place following an incident that occurred on Sunday, August 3, in Tucker district, Irwin.

According to reports from the Granville Police, the incident unfolded between 2:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., when a man was standing by the roadside in Tucker. Brown, who was driving a BMW motor vehicle, struck the man. Thankfully, the man did not sustain any injuries. However, the situation quickly escalated after the man, in response to the incident, struck the vehicle with his hands, prompting an argument between the two.
The confrontation escalated further when Brown exited the vehicle, shoved the man, and then drove off. Later that day, the situation took a more violent turn when the man, on his way home, encountered Brown again. Brown stopped his vehicle beside the man and fired several shots, injuring him before fleeing the scene.

The police were swiftly notified, and upon their arrival, the injured man was assisted to the hospital where he was admitted in stable condition.
On Thursday, August 7, Brown, accompanied by his attorney, turned himself in to the police. He was arrested and placed into custody. The following day, August 8, Brown was officially charged after a statement was recorded from the complainant.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with additional information to come forward.
