Ministry of Health Warns Against Use of Unregulated Sexual Enhancement Products

Kingston, Jamaica — The Ministry of Health & Wellness is urging Jamaicans to avoid purchasing or using three unregulated products currently being marketed for sexual enhancement: Black Bull Extreme, Erectemax, and Royal Honey.

The Ministry issued the warning following alerts from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which confirmed that laboratory analysis of the products revealed the presence of undeclared pharmaceutical ingredients. These hidden substances may pose serious health risks, particularly for individuals with underlying medical conditions or those taking prescription medications.
Black Bull Extreme, in particular, has been falsely promoted as a natural dietary supplement, misleading consumers into believing it is safe for regular use.
The Ministry emphasized that these products are primarily sold online and through informal vendors, making it difficult to verify their safety, authenticity, or manufacturing standards. The sale and promotion of medications and supplements through unlicensed channels such as social media, street vendors, and informal markets is strongly discouraged.
In a statement, the Ministry noted:
“The public is reminded to obtain all health-related products from licensed and authorised distributors. Unregulated products may not only be ineffective but could also result in serious harm.”

Consumers who have encountered Black Bull Extreme, Erectemax, Royal Honey, or any other suspicious health products are encouraged to report them to the Ministry’s PharmWatch at PharmWatch@moh.gov.jm or contact the Standards and Regulation Division at 52-60 Grenada Crescent, Kingston 5.
The Ministry continues to monitor the local market to ensure the safety of health products and urges the public to remain vigilant and informed.
