President Xi Jinping: No single country should dictate the International Order. China is ready to expand trade with Russia

The Chinese President is the first world leader to make an official visit to Moscow since the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for President Putin claiming he abducted children from Ukraine and took them to Russia. This visit is pivotal, making a profound statement on where China stand with Russia.

According to RT, “the Chinese President Xi Jinping has given his thoughts on the shifting nature of geopolitics ahead of his trip to Moscow. In an article published on Sunday by Rossiyskaya Gazeta, Xi writes, ‘The world today is going through profound changes unseen in a century.’ The prevailing trends of world multipolarity, economic globalization and greater democracy in international relations are irreversible,’ continues the president, likely a nod to escalating tensions with Washington over the Ukraine crisis and US interference in China’s sovereignty over Taiwan. The international community, says Xi, has ‘recognized that no country is superior to others, no model of governance is universal, and no single country should dictate the international order. The common interest of all humankind is in a world that is united and peaceful, rather than divided and volatile.”
