Cuban Nurses Coming To Jamaica To Assist With The Coronavirus Crisis

The Jamaican government announced in a #COVID-19 Press Conference on March 13 that Cuban nurses will come to Jamaica to assist with the #Caronavirus Crisis.

The nation citizens will see the first 21 Cuban nurses arrive on the Island on the 24th of March.These are specialist nurses who will focus on primarily high intensity units.

Minister of Heath and Wellness Dr. Chris Tufton said they are trying to get One hundred specialist nurses to add to the three hundred Cuban healthcare workers already in the Island.

Dr.Tufton lauded the strong relationship Jamaica has with Cuba and said they have been in dialogue with the Cuban government to get these nurses.
