One Escapee Still at Large from Constant Spring Lock-Up

Police have confirmed that only one of the nine men who escaped from the Constant Spring lock-up earlier this week remains on the run.

He is 19-year-old Alunzo Espute, otherwise called “Espute,” of Cassava Piece, Kingston 8. Espute was being held on a murder charge at the time of his escape.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is appealing to Espute to surrender immediately by turning himself in at the nearest police station. Law enforcement is also urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact the Constant Spring Police or their closest police station without delay.

The police emphasized that harbouring or assisting a fugitive is a criminal offense and are warning members of the public against aiding Espute.

This latest development comes after the successful recapture of eight of the nine escapees, following intensive operations across several communities.

Authorities are encouraging citizens to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement to ensure Espute is swiftly taken back into custody.
